Course Descriptions
We offer a 50% discount on all firearms training courses to any (active duty) LEO and military. (charity benefit classes and out of state classes excluded)
CANCELLATION POLICY : Anyone cancelling at least two weeks from the course date (8am) will be allowed to have their deposit applied to a future course within the same calendar year. Any cancellation inside of two weeks prior to the course date (8am) the deposit is non-refundable and the deposit is forfeited.
You Suck It's Not The Gun - $175
YSINTG® | You Suck! It’s Not the Gun!® is MDFI's core firearms class. Developed after witnessing scores of shooters blaming their pistol sights for missing their intended targets, YSINTG shows how focusing on and practicing the core fundamentals of shooting will greatly improve the marksmanship of any shooter regardless of skill level
This class takes pistol shooting back to the basics. In an attempt to focus on the defensive use of a handgun, many classes do not focus a great deal of time on the ability to place a bullet precisely where the shooter wants it to go. This class is aimed at fixing that. After this class, most students show drastic improvement in their pistol shooting accuracy. Minimum 150 rounds of ammunition required.

Handgun 1 - $175
This 6-8 hour course moves at a pace with the shooters skill and familiarization with their handgun. It teaches novice shooters the proper fundamentals of handgun shooting, and allows more proficient shooters to build, fine tune, and maintain these fundamentals. This class moves beyond that of a "basic" class so that shooters of any skill level can take something away from the class. Minimum 250 rounds of ammunition required. This class covers:
•Proper gear selection and placement
•Shooting stance
•The draw
•Proper grip
•recoil management
• sight alignment, sight picture
•Trigger control
• reloads
•The (4) primary malfunctions of the handgun
Equipment/Gear needed
•A functional and practical handgun chambered in 9mm, .40 cal, or .45 ACP. A cleaning kit and tools that are compatible with the weapon system(s) in question is recommended.
•Clothing suited to strenuous type activity as well as being seasonally appropriate
•Appropriate foot wear
•Ear protection
•Eye protection
•A holster and magazine pouch that will retain equipment when moving
•An open mind

Handgun 2 - $175
Handgun 2: $175
A 6-8 hour advanced course designed to take those with solid handgun experience to the next level. Minimum 350-400 rounds of ammunition required. Starting with defensive mindset, this class covers:
•Shooting on the move
•Multiple target engagement
•Natural and improvised shooting positions
•Barricade shooting
•Single Hand Manipulation
Equipment/Gear needed
•A functional and practical handgun chambered in 9mm, .40 cal, or .45 ACP. If available, a spare weapon system is also an excellent idea. A cleaning kit and tools that are compatible with the weapon system(s) is recommended. Each student should have a minimum of (4) working magazines.
•Clothing suited to strenuous type activity as well as being seasonally appropriate
•Appropriate foot wear
•Ear protection
•Eye protection
•A holster and magazine pouch that will retain equipment when moving
•Tools that work on your weapon
•An open mind

Carbine 1 - $175
This 6-8 hour course moves at a pace with the shooters skill , and familiarization with their rifle. It teaches novice shooters the proper fundamentals of the carbine, and allows more proficient shooter to build, fine tune, and maintain these fundamentals. Minimum 300 rounds of rifle and 100 rounds of handgun ammunition required. This class will cover:
•Proper choice and placement of gear
•Effective shooting stance
•Proper weapon grip
•Recoil management
•Sight alignment / Sight picture
•Trigger control
• Reloads
•Possible malfunctions of the rifle
•Different shooting positions
Equipment/Gear needed
•A functional carbine chambered in 5.56x45, 5.45x39 or 7.62x39mm or standard pistol caliber weapon systems. A cleaning kit and tools that are compatible with the weapon system. Each student should have a minimum of (4) working magazines.
•Clothing suited to strenuous type activity as well as being seasonally appropriate
•Appropriate foot wear
•Ear protection
•Eye protection
•Functioning secondary weapon system, and three working magazines
•A holster and magazine pouch that will retain your equipment when moving
•An open mind.

Carbine 2 - $175
This is a 6-8 hour, hands-on, live fire course. Minimum 500 rounds of ammunition required. This class covers:
•Shooting on the move
•Multiple target engagement
•Strong and reaction side shooting
•Malfunctions
•Natural and improvised shooting positions
•Barricade shooting
Equipment/Gear needed
A functional carbine chambered in 5.56x45, 5.45x39 or 7.62x39mm or standard pistol caliber weapon systems. A cleaning kit and tools that are compatible with the weapon system is recommended. Each student should have a minimum of (4) working magazines.
•Clothing suited to strenuous type activity as well as being seasonally appropriate
•Appropriate foot wear
•Ear protection
•Eye protection
•Primary weapon sling.
•A rig that can carry a minimum of (2) primary magazines on your person is recommended.
•Functioning secondary weapon system, and three working magazines
•A holster and magazine pouch that will retain your equipment when moving
•Weapons lube
•An open mind.
Dates:
Private Lessons - $75/hr
Private instruction where we can work on whatever you want to work on.
Minimum two hours, up to two people.
Virtual Lessons - $50/hr
Private instruction over face-time, google hangouts, zoom, skype, however you'd like to get together to work on anything from draw, reloads, dry fire, etc.
